Buenos Aires, bars restaurant & club guide
The unique city of Buenos Aires was named after the sanctuary 'Nostra Signora di Bonaria' (located in Cagliari, Sardinia - Italy) and its name can be translated as 'Fair Winds'. It is also known as 'La Reina del Plata' (Queen of the Plate, a reference to the River Plate that Buenos Aires sits alongside). Both of these names say a lot about Buenos Aires, one of the most lively, varied, exciting and fashionable cities of the Latin American continent. Whether you are willing to try some delicious Italian-style dishes, traditional Argentinian recipes, rich international cuisine from all over the world or the famed top-quality Argentinian meat, in Buenos Aires you'll find it …not in one or two select restaurants but in the vast amount of great establishments there are all over the city. Puerto Madero, Palermo, Belgrano and even the charming old-fashioned San Telmo are only some of the barrios (neighbourhoods) of Buenos Aires where you can find plenty of fantastic eating out options. Afterwards you can enjoy one of the most fun, dynamic and late closing nightlife havens in the world! (bars and clubs stay open until very very late…). In Buenos Aires you'll find all sorts of bars, from the super cool, relaxed, discreet, bohemian to the traditional Argentinian with tango reminiscence. Enjoy great (cheap!) cocktails and a nightclub for every music style; techno, pop, house, rock, indie, Argentinian DJ's and big international names also visit and play to the enthusiastic Porteños regularly. What are you waiting for? Take your pick; the endless possibilites of Buenos Aires lie at your feet.
